PVC Industries, a window manufacturer located in Clifton Park NY was logging over 250 orders in a week, each of which required 3 separate documents, costing the company $15,000 on paper alone to maintain this process.

When PVC implemented DocStar enterprise content management (ECM), they experienced a reduction in paperwork, timely responses to customer and vendor inquiries, and integration with SAGE MAS 90 and their in-house ERP system.

After implementation, PVC gained a 20% efficiency improvement over the prior order entry process. Additionally, labor efficiencies gained were approximately 8.5 hours/week and nearly $13,000 annually.

DocStar assisted PVC’s accounts payable process, as well. Invoices and related documents are electronically routed to the AP department and then pushed through an automated workflow for approval. With this process, an invoice can be processed in as little as 4 minutes and can be reviewed, edits and approved on any device, from anywhere in the world.

PVC Industries estimated that it will save around $140,000 over the span of five years with DocStar.
