With nearly 600 employees and 14 establishments under six different brands, including nationally recognized names such as TGI Fridays, Golden Corral and The Melting Pot, Collier Restaurant Group needed a system to help them streamline their workflow and processes and cut costs.
In Human Resources, employee files and health insurance information are easily maintained in one database. Collier noted that if healthcare documentation processes need to be completed via traditional paper-based methods, “it would be impossible” due to the volume and flow.
Beyond HR, Collier integrated DocStar with its Sage ERP accounting system, allowing the processing of more than 20,000 invoices a year to be fully automated.
Collier estimates that they save 50-55 man-hours per week in addition to streamlining their auditing and reporting processes.
“DocStar’s design allowed us to keep our existing internal processes without having to adapt to a document management software system,” notes Royce Pruitt, CFO. “DocStar was clearly a superior product [to our existing solution] and no one else had the integration that worked with our databases, meaning everything would have to be manually done.”
