June 11, 2015 – Astria Solutions Group, the parent company for DocStar, an award-winning developer of automated Accounts Payable and enterprise content management software, announced that they have awarded the first Clean Tech ECHS scholarship to ECHS/Saratoga Springs High School senior Jacob Fortin. Astria’s scholarship will offer Clean Tech ECHS seniors up to $4,000 in scholarships throughout their four years of college. Each spring, Astria will select one Clean Tech ECHS senior to receive a $500 scholarship each semester, for a total of 8 semesters, provided they meet a minimum GPA requirement.

Mr. Fortin was selected out of 10 exceptional applicants based on a variety of factors – GPA, field of study, financial need, merit and recommendations. Fortin participates in a number of community service activities including Project Lift, Saratoga Springs Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry, Girls in STEM and a variety of mentoring programs. He also participates in Student Council, Art Club, French Club and has completed a CEIP internship in meteorology with Time Warner Cable News.

“We are so pleased to offer Jacob our first ECHS Clean Technologies scholarship award,” said Jeff Frankel, VP and principal with Astria Solutions Group. “He’s proven himself to be a valuable member of the community and we are confident that with the assistance of our scholarship, he will continue providing leadership in the STEM fields in the future.”

“Astria Solutions Group is proud to offer scholarships to Clean Tech ECHS students.
